Mark your calendars!!

The Kiwanis Club of Glen Ridge invites you to join us for our Third Annual October Feast... a food, wine, and home brews event to be held at the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge.

THE TASTING

At the tasting, you will enjoy a selection of wonderful foods and desserts provided by some of the best restaurants in Glen Ridge, Montclair and nearby towns. You can also enjoy a selection of home brews sponsored by the Glen Ridge Home Brewers Association. Finally you can enjoy a tasty selection of wines provided by ShopRite Wine and Spirits of Caldwell.

At our October Feast, you can enjoy a number of American and international cuisines, all provided by local restaurants. Pick your favorites and revisit them at your leisure.

This ‘October Feast’ is a WIN-WIN-WIN.

Your contribution puts a selection of tasty foods and drink in your belly.
You learn of local restaurants to revisit later.
You get to support several wonderful charities. 100% of our Glen Ridge Kiwanis proceeds support our programs and charities - there is zero administrative overhead).

OUR MOTIVATION

Your attendance and contributions will support three major Kiwanis initiatives in addition to our other community projects:

A global Kiwanis campaign to raise $110 million dollars to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the earth. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year. In partnership with UNICEF, more than 100 million mothers and their future babies are planned to be immunized.

"Serving the children of the world" is Kiwanis’s main goal. These proceeds support scholarships based largely on community service and other joint Kiwanis-youth projects and initiatives. These projects foster important values in the children of our community such as volunteerism and helping other people.

Music Therapy for Children with Autism. We initiated a multi-year program to help support the emotional, motivational, social and cognitive health in autistic children. See example at the Autism Science Foundation.
